Dental Chicago & Hinsdale, IL

he most common Implant Services we provide are:

Patients Missing Single or Multiple Teeth

The most common Implant procedure performed by Dr. Nikolovski is the replacement of a missing tooth with an Implant/Crown restoration. In most cases the procedure requires no bone grafts or additional procedures and is performed in the office in less than a one hour visit. It is not uncommon for a patient to take an anti-inflammatory such as Advil, after the procedure and return to their normal routine that night!

Two months later an impression is taken and a tooth (crown restoration) is placed. This natural looking tooth replacement is the closest thing to growing a new tooth. It was many advantages over a dental bridge:

  • No need to grind perfectly good natural teeth
  • Ability to floss and maintain like a normal tooth
  • Cannot get tooth decay
  • Higher percentage of success versus a Dental Bridge

Extraction of a Tooth and Implant Placement

Fractured teeth, failed root canals, severe decay, and several other reasons for tooth extraction have been treated in the past by pulling the tooth and waiting several months to place, or fixed, or removable bridge. Dental provide a far superior and more desirable solution.

In many cases (limited infection and sufficient bone) a tooth may be extracted and replaced immediately with a Dental Implant. This procedure saves time and eliminates a second surgery.

Just like the placement of a standard Dental Implant the impressions can be taken several months later for a new tooth.

In cases of severe infection or poor prognosis Dr. Nikolovski will chose the more predictable option of extracting the tooth and placing a bone generating graft in the extraction site. In this way the health of the area can be guaranteed and the implant can be placed six (6) to eight (8) weeks later. Predictability and patient comfort are always a concern at Chicago Family Dental. Each patient presents a different set of circumstances that dictate the treatment for their needs.

Dental to Secure a Loose or Ill-Fitting Denture

Loose fitting dentures can easily be secured with the strategic placement of two (2) to four (4) Dental . Snaps are placed on the inside of the denture and once engaged it is a truly tight fit that will allow the patient to eat a fairly regular diet and regain their confidence to speak out in public. For those wishing a more natural smile which is permanently secured, several more implants are placed and a fixed denture restoration is screwed down into place. It is only removed at periodic visits to the dentist for cleaning and maintenance.

If the patients denture is relatively new and in good function, the Dental may be retro fitted to their own denture. However, we find it more common to provide a new denture in order to obtain the best function, esthetics and long term wear.

Dr. Nikolovski took his liking for Dental to the ultimate level. Wishing to create the ideal tooth or denture restoration, he not only restores the implants, but places them in his own office. This ability to control the entire treatment plan allows him to produce results  far beyond the patients expectations. In addition it saves the patient both time and money . Patients love to have all of their dental needs taken care of in one location, under the same Doctor's supervision. Recently patients have traveled from Chicago and the Carolina's to seek his Implant expertise.

Wanting to provide his clientele with the ultimate in Implant care, Dr. Nikolovski has completed almost 200 hours of advance study in Dental over the past two years, including a mini-residency at NYU.  He is a member of the American Dental Implant Association, and regularly goes to their meetings and follows their literature.  Dr. Nikolovski has attended the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Dental Implant meeting in Chicago twice in the past three years.

Dental and Bridgework

Many patients long to have back their original teeth. Especially after wearing dentures, or going through many years of unsuccessful dental attempts to save their teeth. Dr. Nikolovski has the ability to place Dental strategically allowing the placement of crowns, and/or bridges to give his patients a fully functioning beautiful set of teeth that act and look like their own.

Let us share with you the picture of a patient that had a mouthful of hopeless teeth replaced with Dental and crowns. In a matter of just a few months they went from low self image and inability to eat, to our happiest patient. Those are all crowns on implants with no natural teeth!!! Their only regret was that they didn't do it sooner.

Denture Retained with Mini

Inability to wear a lower denture is very common due to bone loss and other factors. Many patients simply need a little extra hold in order to be able to eat and function with their denture. In these situations we often place five (5) mini implants in the jaw in order to provide a snap-in denture. Although not as secure or a predictable option as standard implants, it is a less costly alternative that provides a great service.

All on Four Teeth in One Visit

Dr. Nikolovski has been investigating this technique for the past several years and will soon be providing it to his patients. At one dental visit following x-ray and clinical examination, four (4) implants are placed on either the upper or lower arch and teeth are immediately screwed in. The patient leaves the office with either a temporary or final set of teeth held securely in place. It truly is the ultimate in Implant Dentistry.
